DailyBreath API
Supporting active awareness of weather, pollution, and Pollen exposure Risk
As a cloud-based software-as-a-service (SAAS) product, DailyBreath, is available as an application programming interface (API).
The DailyBreath API mashes up real-time weather and environmental data to represent the confluence of environmental conditions at a specific geo-location and applies the data to a study-based evidence algorithm to create the DailyBreath Risk Index. The API includes:
The Daily Breath Risk Index – based on study-based evidence,
Prevailing Factors – those factors that were most pertinent to the DBRI calculation,
The Impact Summary – A summary of why the prevailing factors increase the relative risk of experiencing an asthma exacerbation, and
Daily Recommendations- Preventative action steps to take that will help avoid triggers or significantly reduce the potential impact of triggers.
The API includes the specific weather and environmental data variables so any of them can be included in the execution of the API for the client’s use case. Healthcare providers, insurers, advocacy groups, and developers can all benefit from the DailyBreath API to help ensure that those affected by respiratory conditions are actively aware of the THEIR weather, pollution, and pollen exposures and can take action to prevent occurrences and exacerbation. The API can be integrated into web sites and mobile apps including online properties, patient portals, and asthma management apps.
